Finally! I got around to doing this! I haven’t done a very good job at it though, the language used was rather hard to decipher and thus it took a while. I didn’t translate it word for word, I changed a few parts for the sake of coherence but the overall idea is the same. Knowing the lyrics of the song changes the whole mood of it. At first, I thought it was a romantic rock ballad, but it is, in fact, a paean. A religious song, if you will.

The lyrics conjure up a lot of imagery, a lot more than your average J-pop song, and the lyrics are very, very deep and thoughtful. I don’t know if I’ve done proper justice to the original lyrics, but I really tried my best, even though I couldn’t bring the ‘mood’ down properly.

To limitless roads, I sigh and look down in shame
There’s no looking back now, a voice says somewhere within my murdered self
Trying to cure the flawed openings that had formed, hiding my tears back
Though recovery itself is too late, I raise my face skywards

In the color of lapis lazuli, the sky shimmers
The vast land blossoms, and the prayer is accepted
The person in time recognises the truth
The things he felt important in past were no more the best

And there, the distant light illuminates…

Tears of sadness are always shed in time
Freedom thus calls the flag under, and the faux pas repeats again
In black and white, in red and bronze, sometimes an offshoot is born too
Though seeking the voice for prayer now, I’m the same as before

Though sometimes, he recognizes it, I guess
And with passion, the person wails out loud, but this channeling is important
Because I know, the light of eternity makes one blind
